- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I passed a kidney stone waiting to be seen. Was there for 8 hours of which 6.5 hours were in the waiting room which was filthy. I had no idea what was wrong with me, I was just in agony the entire time. Didn't get so much as a Tylenol for the first 7 hours. On a second occasion I had complications after a surgery and was bleeding under the skin (hematoma). I was in shock and throwing up. They gave me some gravol, some fluids and sent me home with an active bleed. Had a friend drive me to another hospital where I had to have another surgery to have 500 cc of blood drained. I complained to the Welland hospital but of course they claim "the care provided was appropriate." They could very easily have killed me. There are probably some exemplary healthcare professionals at the Welland Hospital, but I would not send anyone I care about there... Or even my worst enemy.by Alex RDecember 23, 2016
